Her TrajectoryπŸŽ€

When your family was waiting and guessing,
You came to the world as a blessing.

While most of the people around you wanted you to be ‘HE’,
Your family was happy as you were made a proud ‘SHE’.

Being a little princess, everything around you was poured with pink
Sadly, these silly things were only what your parents could think!

From playing with dolls to listening stories of moon and stars,
Hardly, did anybody knew that you also liked playing with cars.

The society asked you to be soft, sensitive and fragile
But you were born to be bold, strong and agile!

You were forced to follow the so-called standard beauty trend,
As if not looking fair and flawless will make the world end!

Laughing at all this social fuss,
You realized beauty exists in all of us.

Everybody asked you to be graceful and homely to fit in the frame,
But the women leaders out there taught you how to ace the game.

From difficulty to ignore those annoying creepy chase,
To fighting the irritating male gaze,

Every day of a girl is an unwanted war,
But still you are out in the world shinning like a bright star!

Insecurities and doubts were hard to get over,
But you were strong enough not to let these disturb you ever.

You endure everything with silent sob and weep,
Still you stand tough as you made promises to keep.

You knew your self-esteem to you is so dear,
Then you realized your confidence is greater than your fear.

World kept mocking-saying you are only alive to wive,
But you decided to strive harder to thrive.

Keep your head held high, fearing none
Because girl you are strong to face the world alone!

Your story is still incomplete, ask your hopes to stay,
This end’s with me wishing you a very good day!

Woman must not accept; she must challenge. She must not be awed by that which has been built up around her; she must reverence that woman in her which struggles for expression.

  1. Being a woman in these times is a challenge that involves a lot of yourself to face them. Only the interest to get ahead in the midst of so many difficulties, allows to reach the desired goal without having to resort to the superfull or the female standards that today flood social networks. Very good your poem. A reflection worthy of being taken into account due to its reach of maturity in your words.
    Good weekend

  2. My parents raised me in a gender neutral environment and I’m doing the same for my kids. But the fact is the world is still divided into he and she. Loved the way you expressed effortlessly ❀ hoping for the time when blue and pink will be just a colour

  3. Love this post!!! Specially because I can relate to it 😊😊 We as women have been told since childhood that we have to laugh a certain way , we need to dress a certain way, we lile pink, we need kitchen house and dolls … Little did we know that this is indirectly society defining our future. Thank god things are changing πŸ™ I am blessed to be have born in this time where atleast I have the freedom and understanding of pink not defining me😊😊

  4. Wowww! You have written very beautiful.
In a wonderful way you commented on the women’s society, how their desires are supported from childhood. According to our ancient Indian culture, the woman is a goddess, revered and the basis of the entire human race….. But like I have also experienced that once girls are born, all the people around them start making them girls mentally as well… No one cares what she wants……. Like you said, they like to play with cars but some people make a habit of playing with dolls in them.. But whatever it may be, in my view, women society is paramount. Girls alone have the ability to do everything that boys can’t do. And we also hear that behind every man’s success is a woman’s hand, i.e. woman are partners in every work.
Now I am leaving it here otherwise the talks on this subject will be very long..
Keep writing like this, keep on blossoming and keep flaunting your and our life with flowers like your post.

      1. I once took a number of steps to get into the Canadian House of Commons. I ran for election for a MP- Member of Parliament. This was back in 1984 Federal Election. I came in second out of 8 total Candidates. I did good and got our party over 3,000 votes more than we ever had. It was not just me. It was the people behind me answering phones for signs etc
