Hope Is All We Can Do!

A virus so small,
All are now its thrall,
Trace of humans, not at all!
Even empty roads bawl,

All are locked at their home,
None is allowed to roam,
Migrants in form of dome,
Running back to their home.

Life makes everyone run,
Even if one has some fun.
Many can’t even buy bun,
Neither at night nor under sun!

People are now livid,
Tear-stained faces so rigid,
Nothing now is vivid,
Sadly, we live with COVID.

Laughed and stayed in groups,
Now away from troupes,
Tough to pass such time loops,
COVID neither breaks nor stoops.

Life has now become hollow,
Uncertainty to swallow,
To live and see tomorrow,

Self-isolation– one must follow.

Sanitizing is important,
To fight against this militant,
One must commit at the instant,
To defeat this dicey mutant.

All things are closed – school and mall,
As this virus still stands tall!
“Together we stand – divided we fall”,
People must know just these all.

Everyone needs to have nerve,
Not just to stand and observe,
But to care others and serve,
This is what the poor deserve.

Many are already dead,
Several are sick on bed,
Even more is going to spread,
People are praying in dread.

This deadly virus is ghost,
Prayers will never be lost,

Hope is required the most,
Optimism at any cost.

This darkness will turn bright,
Everything will be alright,
Let’s hope and hold on tight,
And fight with all our might!

Hope is important because it can make the present moment less difficult to bear. If we believe that tomorrow will be better, we can bear a hardship today.
